PEORIA REGIONAL MUSEUM SOCIETY

A tribute to the past ... a foundation for the future

The Peoria Regional Museum Society is a corporation organized under the laws governing not-for-profit corporations within the State of Illinois.  Everyone who participates in this society does so on a voluntary basis.  We pay no salaries.  Our existence depends solely on membership fees and donations.

The purpose of this Society:
1.     To increase and diffuse knowledge and appreciation of science, history, industry and art with special             emphasis on these as they pertain to the Peoria area.

2.     To sponsor exhibition projects within area museums which achieve the purpose stated in Section 1 above.

3.     To conduct research, programs and expeditions in furtherance of the purposes stated in sections 1 and 2 above.
    Becoming a member:

Membership is critical in allowing PRMS to continue its mission.  If you are interested in becoming a member of PRMS, or knowing more about membership, please visit our Membership page.  Click on the "About Membership" tab on the navigation bar to your left.

 Scholarship Program:

Through an agreement with the Community Foundation of Central Illinois, PRMS has established The Charles E. and J. Frank Duryea Engineering Scholarship Fund.  The primary purpose of this fund is to provide scholarship support for students who are attending Illinois Central College (ICC), enrolling as a full or part time student in a recognized engineering curriculum.

 Artifact Maintenance Fund:

We are responsible for the maintenance and preservation of all the artifacts in our charge.  Through member's and volunteer's  donations of time, money and talent we strive to meet that responsibility.
